Picture Post II

I decided to split the pictures into two parts, just to help out those poor bastards people dealing with NZ internet..

These two guys announce the entrance to one of the local walking trails.

Looking downstream from the entrance to the hiking trail.

Looking upstream towards the hotel. You can just see the main building between the trees.

I took a picture of this big fella just for Ben..he was huge!

 

After breakfast I went back out and took another walk..

This road was lined with sunflowers..

..and these filled the next field down.

  I’ve been wanting to get a good picture of one of these for a while. This is the Korean equivalent of a Ferguson..every farmer has one and they use it for everything from plowing..

..to taking the missus round to the neighbours for a cuppa..

 

I kind of like this..its a great illustration for how the church dominates Korean society. Take out the power pole, switch the rice for wheat and age the buildings..it could be pre-enlightenment Europe. Scary, 네?

Being a rice-growing area, irrigation is very important.

And lastly…it wouldn’t be Korea without..
